Not so little anymore

You may remember a very lovely little newborn in April? Well here she is three months on sleeping and being as gorgeous as ever!

Raindrops

We've been seeing a lot of these little things the past few weeks. Good old Manchester weather!

Steam Engine

An afternoon at MOSI (Museum of Science and Industry) taken with my mobile phone camera. Tomorrow I shall have to take 'proper' photo's again.

Kisses

Not sure if this really counts as it's a very low quality 'photo booth' photo taken on Nathan's computer but it's the only photo I took yesterday. I actually couldn't find my camera since getting home from the weekend. I couldn't find it this morning either but Nathan found it whilst I was out!

Buzzy Thistle

Another Bee photo! We went for a little walk by a reservoir in Teesdale today and there were many thistles and other pretty flowers all attracting the bumble bees.

Flutterby

I think this butterfly was nearing the end of its short life as it didn't move much at all. Very handy for those of us with an itchy camera finger.

Friday - Fiesta!

YMCA party in Barnard castle. A spontaneous evening for us!

Thursday - Gecko

Troll

Today is the second day of the school summer holidays and the children and I made some fantastic playdough. I decided to have a little play myself and here you can see my troll under his bridge.

Only Photo

I took just the one photograph yesterday, with the family camera, and this is it! Pretty awful I'd say but it shows two things. 1, My little squish is gorgeous no matter how 'good' my photo is and 2, I can frame a photo decently even when just taking a quick one off snap shot to check if the camera is still working!

Red Eye

Another phone photo hence the poor quality. I was meant to be at a toddler group so hadn't bothered taking my camera, only it was cancelled so we went to the sensory room instead and played with the lights.

Busy Bee

Took the dog for a walk with the kids this afternoon and decided to have a little go with the macro setting on my camera. Oh for a proper macro lens! I love this sort of photography, I think it's probably my favourite but perhaps not my best.

Jesus impersonator

Well not exactly, it's just my brother in law looking like his usual self, but there is a resemblance don't you think?

Batchelor of Arts

Nathan graduated today! Really pleasant day and I took quite a few good photos, even if I do say so myself :-)

However the person who took a few photo's of Nathan and I together, somehow managed to ensure that every single one was either out of focus or shaky so we don't have one decent photo of both of us together to remember from the occasion. I am a little bit annoyed! I think I'd have done better propping it up on a wall and taking it myself, or getting my mobile phone camera and holding it at arms length! But alas, beggers can't be choosers as they say. Nathan doesn't seem to care in the slightest and I guess it's 'his' day anyway.

Intelligent Balloon

A congratulations on your degree gift to Nathan from his parents.

Green fly

If you go down to the ....

Not the most creative photo but very cute. Here is big girl with her friend and teddy at the toddler group's teddy bear picnic morning. It was their last time there yesterday as it's closing for the summer and the girls are starting nursery in September!

Princess

The last few days we've had at least one ill person in the house so my photo's aren't terribly inspirational. This is a mobile phone camera shot!

Scary Fairy

Big Squish wanted to be a Scary Fairy Princess today which It thought was quite a challenge. I feel my awful facepaint face accomplished her request rather well.

Annoyingly this photo which was by far the best in composition and expression, was also my first and I'd forgotten to turn off the Black & White setting! I'd spent ages getting everything else how I wanted, saw the opportunity to capture a moment and was rather gutted when I realised the garish colours I'd used were absent!
However, all the following photos she is either looking away or she looks unnatural so this is the one I chose.

Playng with balls

Yup it's a juggling photo, possibly not very 'fitting' for 7/7 as today has become known.

7th July 2005, was a significant day for us. We moved house. It was also the day of the bombings in London (as I'm sure you already knew).

11th September 2001 was another significant day for us. We moved house. I'm sure I don't need to mention the greater happenings of that day.

We shall forewarn you when we plan to move house again.

Newton Heath at night

A view from the bridge just outside our house. The sky has been so amazing recently. This was taken with a shutter speed of 1/500, aperture f 10, so the sky still has it's blue tint as opposed to the sky photo from the other evening.

Manchester Piccadilly Station

This was taken having just returned from Leeds on Sunday afternoon after a very enjoyable weekend with my good ol' school pals. I have taken a photo from Saturday but on my friend's camera so hopefully she'll email me that soon!

Cup Cake

Flour flour everywhere.

Sunset

I took so many photos of the sky yesterday evening that I had to get Nathan to choose the 'best' as they were all starting to fade into one for me. The reason I took so many was because I was only taking manual photos and was struggling to get the settings how I wanted. The aperture here is f/14 and shutter speed 1/500.

Watching Shadows

I think it's very cute that they both did this.

West Wing

Just started the 5th series!
