Day 10: Fountains of Fun

Day 9 of 100 happy days - a visit to Selby Abbey

Except we couldn't actually go inside!  

Apparently they were filming a period drama in the abbey for a couple of weeks, so we had to make do with walking around it.  Still, we went for coffee and cake and strolled around some shops without the children so a happy day indeed.

Day 8. The Boy Turns Ten!

Last week we celebrated my eldest's birthday with his best birthday party to date!

Day 7: Scrambled Eggs

Made by the girls, by themselves, for themselves.

I'm feeling quite unwell, have been for a few days now so it was a lovely surprise, and relief, when the girls asked if they could make their own tea!

Day 5: Coffee then a nap

Very little creates happiness like a child free coffee (decaf, soya, latte) before a snooze on the train.

Day 4: Watching the creative process.

Watching my children can be incredibly rewarding at times.  Here's my eldest daughter deep in thought  as she writes a "Monster" story for her half term school project.

Day 3. Party time!
